Annual Board Election — August 31, 2026
Monday, August 31st • 7:00–8:00 PM Central
Our board holds elections for every position annually. This year, one role is opening up and we're actively looking for someone to step in:
Community Engagement — CFP & Speaker Wrangling
This role owns the Call for Papers process for BSides Nashville 2027. That means:
- Running and maintaining the CFP from open to close
- Building and managing the review committee
- Communicating with speakers — acceptances, declines, logistics
- Building the session schedule and coordinating with speakers leading up to the event
If you plan to run, please prepare a short "about you" (around 5 minutes) to share at the meeting. All board positions are elected annually — you can learn about every role on the election page.
Volunteer at the Event
We'd love to have more hands helping make BSides Nashville great. Day-of volunteers help with check-in, room monitoring, AV, and keeping things running smoothly. In return you get free admission, lunch, and the satisfaction of being part of something the Nashville security community looks forward to every year.
